Artist, Illustrator, Graphic designer

      My name is Yeduo Voiturin, and I was born in Shanghai, China, and currently reside in Lyon, France. After obtaining a degree in Visual Communication in China and a DNSEP (Higher National Degree in Plastic Expression) in France, I worked for 10 years as a designer and product manager in the furniture industry. Using both traditional and digital tools, I specialize in creating portrait artwork to capture the mood, light, and emotion of the subject. I officially started my art career as a freelance artist and illustrator in 2022.

     My passion lies in capturing the essence and individuality of each person I paint. Through the interplay of light, color, and brushstrokes, I strive not only to create a realistic likeness but also to delve deeper into the subject's character, emotions, and stories.

      Through my artwork, I hope to honor the beauty, complexity, and diversity of the human being. As Paulo Coelho said, "We can have all the means of communication in the world, but nothing, absolutely nothing, replaces the human eye."

• Graduated in 2001 from the Visual Art Institute of Science and Technology University in Shanghai, China, with a BA in Visual Communication Art.

• Graduated in 2005 from the Fine Art School of Saint-Étienne and Limoges, France, with a Master's in design.

• Worked as a Designer and Product Manager in the furniture industry in France for over ten years.

• Officially started an art career in October 2022.

• Selected and invited to exhibit at the online Outstanding of Las Laguna Art Gallery, USA, in December 2022.

• Awarded the Artistic Excellence Award in the CFA Artist of the Year Contest by the Circle Foundation for the Arts, in February 2023.

• Published in the 33rd Issue of "Spotlight - Contemporary Art Magazine" by the Circle Foundation for the Arts, in March/April 2023.

• Selected for the Top Artist in Category Award (Drawing Category) by the Circle Foundation for the Arts, in May 2023.

• Finalist award of competing in all visual arts categories for exhibition within the Artavita/World wide Art pavilion in Miami, Florida during Basel Week (December 2023).

• Selected for an Online exhibition of Contemporary art curator magazine in 2023.

• Selected for Finalist in The British Art Prize 2023.

• Exhibited in group at Gallery@oxo, Tower Wharf, London, in 2024.

• 1st Place Award of ArtExpo New York Competition by Circle Foundation for the Arts, in 2024.

• Selected  as a 2024 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Finalist.

• Awarded the Luxembourg Art Prize 2024 certificate of artistic merit by La Pinacothèque.
